Our History

Founded by Artistic Director Marilo Nunez in 2006, Alameda Theatre Company, was formed as a response to the lack of quality, professional Latin Canadian theatre in Toronto.

An avenue for Latin voices, Alameda Theatre Company aims to become a viable artistic network of professional Latin Canadian theatre artists in Canada. Inspired by the words of Salvador Allende, "You must continue to know that, sooner rather than later, grand avenues will be opened where free men will go to build a better society", Alameda Theatre Company's goal is to improve the human experience through art and creative exchange.
